The Astoria Development Commission is seeking Expressions of Interests from creative, experienced developers to redevelop the Heritage Square site with workforce housing.
As a part of the Council goal setting session in 2021, the Council set a goal which stated: Support efforts to increase the housing supply using the County Housing Study as a guide. The City will focus on workforce and affordable housing overall and will specifically pursue a public-private partnership for the redevelopment of Heritage Square to include workforce housing.
