The City of Astoria continues to work on repairing a damaged
portion of our water transmission main.
The leak has been located and crews are working to repair the
damage. Initial assessment indicates
that the leak was caused by a combination of a minor joint failure and
saturated steep terrain. Water service
to the following surrounding area water users has been affected; Willowdale,
Riverpoint, Clatsop County Fairgrounds, John Day, Fern Hill, and Olney-Walluski.
Restoration of water service is anticipated by Saturday morning,
November 13, 2021. This schedule is
subject to change.
