The Astoria Development
Commission (ADC) is seeking Expressions of Interests from developers to
redevelop the Heritage Square site with workforce housing.
As a part of the Council goal setting session in 2021, the Council set a goal
to: Support efforts to increase the housing supply using the County
Housing Study as a guide. The City will focus on workforce and affordable
housing overall and will specifically pursue a public-private partnership for
the redevelopment of Heritage Square to include workforce housing.
The ADC envisions the development of most or all of the Heritage Square
redevelopment site with affordable housing to accommodate the growing workforce
in Astoria. The plan will also contribute to the continuing
revitalization of the Downtown Astoria Historic District.
The request for submissions can
