ASTORIA, OR, March 22 – The Astoria Parks and Recreation Department is hosting three public comment opportunities on the initial findings of the Astoria Parks & Recreation Comprehensive Master Plan.
Parks Department staff will give an update on the Master Plan planning process and share its initial findings and next steps with the community. The public is invited to attend any of three open house sessions and to weigh in with personal feedback. A staff member will be present at each session to discuss the project, answer questions and record input.
Open House Dates
Wednesday, April 6, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Fort George Lovell Showroom, 426 14th St.
5:30 PM: presentation by staff.
Thursday, April 7, 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM at Street 14 Café (private dining room), 1410 Commercial St.
Saturday, April 9, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (during Art Walk) at Old Town Framing, 1287 Commercial St.
Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting
The next meeting of the Astoria Parks and Recreation Master Plan Citizens Advisory Committee is Thursday, March 31, at 8:00 AM at the Astoria Recreation Center, 1555 W. Marine Drive.
The Citizens Advisory Committee meets monthly to discuss issues, opportunities, and strategies associated with planning for the future of Astoria’s parks and recreation system.
