The City of Astoria is reporting a case of COVID-19 among city staff. The City Manager was notified that a staffperson who was present at the Parks and Recreation Department’s childcare, Lil’ Sprouts, has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Staff is working with Clatsop County Public Health Department to notify individuals who appear to have had close contact with the individual.
The City of Astoria continues to remain diligent with State of Oregon and CDC COVID-19 protocols and is following all recommendations of the Early Learning Division; which has specific safety procedures for childcare providers regarding COVID-19. This announcement does not make any changes to operations to other City of Astoria buildings and facilities which are currently open and operating.
