The City of Astoria is reporting a case of COVID-19 among city staff. The City Manager was notified that a staff person from the Public Works Department has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Staff is working internally and with Clatsop County Public Health Department guidance to identify individuals who may have had close contact with the individual.
The City of Astoria continues to remain diligent with State of Oregon and CDC COVID-19 protocols and is following all recommendations of the Oregon Health Authority. This announcement does not make any changes to operations to other City of Astoria buildings and facilities which are currently open and operating.
