The City of Astoria's Arts and Cultural Programs to Promote Tourism Grant Application acceptance Begins January 3, 2022!
The City of Astoria established the Arts and Cultural Program to Promote Tourism as a way to promote tourism in the City by funding art and cultural events and projects. Grant funding is provided through the Promote Astoria Fund which receives its funding from Transient Lodging taxes. The City will make available an amount not to exceed $90,940 for distribution in support of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 programs and promotions.
The submission deadline is February 28, 2022
A Subcommittee, of the Budget Committee, for the City of Astoria, will review grant applications the week of March 7 - 11, 2022 and put forward a recommendation to the City of Astoria Budget Committee for consideration. Please note at this stage these are recommendations and are not approved or final.
Budget Committee meetings will begin April 26, 2022.
After budget review and approval, the budget (which includes grant awards) will be presented to City Council, prior to June 30, 2022, for adoption. After budget adoption, grant award information will be provided to each requesting agency.
