The City of Astoria is reporting that a staff member who works for the Public Works Department has tested positive for COVID-19. We are in the process of communicating directly with all staff members who may have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with the individual.
All health and safety protocols are being followed at all City facilities and staff are sanitizing and cleaning common areas regularly. The City of Astoria continues to remain diligent with State of Oregon and CDC COVID-19 protocols and is following all recommendations of the Oregon Health Authority.
