In observance of National Historic Preservation Month, nominations are now being accepted for the 36th Annual Dr. Harvey Awards.
The City of Astoria is seeking nominations now through Monday, April 3, 2023 for the 36th Annual Dr. Harvey Awards, presented each May in observance of National Historic Preservation Month. The Dr. Harvey Award recognizes significant historic preservation projects that contribute to the preservation and architectural heritage in Astoria.
Citizens are encouraged to nominate a project or property owner who has made outstanding efforts to preserve historic buildings (work must have been completed within the last two years). Nomination forms can be downloaded from the City's Form Page or picked up at City Hall, 1095 Duane St., Astoria.
The Historic Landmarks Commission will review the nominations and determine winners based on the contributions of the project to the architectural and historical character to Astoria.
Completed nominations may be emailed to planning@astoria.or.us, or mailed to/dropped off at City Hall, Community Development Dept., 1095 Duane St, Astoria, OR 97103.
