Public Works is utilizing the Sole-Source Procurement method as outlined in Astoria Procurement Code 1.969 to purchase the following Goods or Services and Personal Services:
Core and Main to supply Protectus iii Water Meter
Reason for Sole-Source:
Core and Main is the Exclusive Vendor for Protectus iii Water Meter.
This particular equipment is being acquired to provide consistency with other equipment already in place throughout the City. Similar equipment allows cost savings through reduced operating costs and improves reliability as demonstrated through past performance.
The goods or services, are available from only one source, and are needed for a water line.
Per Astoria Procurement Code 1.969, a Sole-Source Procurement Notice will be posted on the City of Astoria website to allow ten days for protests.
An affected person can protest this award by delivering a written protest to the City Manager within ten (10) days of this public notice – City Hall, 1095 Duane St. Astoria, Or 97103 or email written protest to jharrington@astoria.gov. Protests will follow the guidelines outlined in the Astoria Procurement Code 1.969.
