2013 Needs Assessment
Introduction
In 2013, the City of Astoria commissioned a renovation study of the Astoria Library. The study had four goals: needs assessment, building program, cost estimate, and fund-raising strategies. Ruth Metz Associates (RMA), a library consulting firm based in Portland, conducted the study. This study was preliminary to any future architectural planning and design. The City, library leadership, and consultant team held several public meetings and conducted a Needs Assessment Survey, seeking community input regarding the library service needs and ideas of Astorians, current and anticipated. This page contains materials presented to the community during the Renovation Study as well as the Final Report for the Astoria Library Renovation Study.
