Ocean View Cemetery

Opened 1898 by the City of Astoria. There are 100 acres of property with 50 acres developed. 16,000 interments at cemetery. Lake views with all kinds of wildlife on the grounds.

Astoria Aquatic Center

The Astoria Aquatic Center features four pools and a large fitness area - all under one roof. Our pools include a 6 lane, 25 yard lap pool, recreation pool with a lazy river, hot tub and a heated kiddie pool.

Maritime Memorial

Bay St & Marine Dr This beautiful space is a Riverside park with a granite memorial wall, landscaping, an historic fresh water fountain from the original Shively Park, walkway and picnic area. “The Maritime Memorial Park is designed to commemorate the lives of the people who were intimately involved with maritime activities. Please respect the dignity of this plaza and honor those remembered here.” This is a beautiful spot for weddings and picnics.

Employee of the Month

Peter EOM

Aquatics Manager Peter von Payens is our Employee of the Month! As supervisor of the Astoria Aquatic Center, Peter leads lifeguards, swim instructors, and clerks as they safely operate the facility for residents and visitors. Peter leads by example and consistently fills in as a lifeguard, often working 12 hour days to make sure that patrons' fitness routines are not disrupted by staff absences. Peter also hosts Aqua Aerobics classes Tuesday - Friday mornings in the Lap Pool, join him for his next class! Peter is hard working and supportive and we appreciate everything he does at the AAC!
