Opened 1898 by the City of Astoria. There are 100 acres of property with 50 acres developed. 16,000 interments at cemetery. Lake views with all kinds of wildlife on the grounds.

Astoria Aquatic Center

The Astoria Aquatic Center features four pools and a large fitness area - all under one roof. Our pools include a 6 lane, 25 yard lap pool, recreation pool with a lazy river, hot tub and a heated kiddie pool.

Maritime Memorial

Bay St & Marine Dr This beautiful space is a Riverside park with a granite memorial wall, landscaping, an historic fresh water fountain from the original Shively Park, walkway and picnic area. “The Maritime Memorial Park is designed to commemorate the lives of the people who were intimately involved with maritime activities. Please respect the dignity of this plaza and honor those remembered here.” This is a beautiful spot for weddings and picnics.

Kilee

Kilee Crow is our Employee of the Month!

Kilee joined the Astoria Parks & Recreation Department in March 2025 and has quickly become an invaluable member of our recreation team. She played a key role in bringing fitness classes back to our community and has made a lasting impact through her enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication.
Participants consistently describe Kilee's classes as fun, energetic, and welcoming. She creates an environment where everyone feels encouraged to stay active, challenge themselves, and enjoy the experience. Her passion for fitness and commitment to serving our community have made her an outstanding addition to the department.
If you haven't had the opportunity to take one of Kilee's fitness classes, you're missing out! Thank you, Kilee, for everything you do for Astoria Parks & Recreation and the community we serve.

Volunteer of the Month

Orrick

Orrick Evans is our Volunteer of the Month!

Orrick Evans, a member of the Astoria High School Class of 2027, chose to complete his senior project with the Astoria Parks & Recreation Department by organizing a fantastic summer pickleball tournament at Lindstrom Park.
From start to finish, Orrick demonstrated outstanding leadership, organization, and enthusiasm. He coordinated tournament operations, welcomed participants with a positive attitude, and helped create a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved. In preparation for the event, Orrick secured generous prize donations from local businesses, designed promotional flyers, and worked hard to spread the word throughout our community.

We are incredibly grateful for Orrick's dedication and the time he invested in making this event a success. We always enjoy partnering with students on senior projects that make a meaningful impact in our community, and Orrick's project is a wonderful example of that.
