The following services are available from the City:
Permits may be obtained to allow construction vehicles to park on City streets for extended periods beyond the allowable time limit of the parking space. If you wish to rent City owned barricades, they may be obtained by contacting the Astoria Public Works Department at 503-325-3524 during business hours in advance of the event.
Construction of fences do not require a permit if constructed within the allowable locations and dimensions. See the Fence brochure for more information. Permits may be obtained to allow closure of streets for construction, events, or other special needs. Street closures require submittal of a plan on how the closure will be accomplished and the specific hours of closure. Applications should be submitted at least ten working days prior to the date of the proposed closure. Also see Construction Parking Permits for use of the parking space.Ensure that sufficient traffic control cones, barricades, and signs are in place to secure the closed portion of the street and to safely control the traffic flow.
