Enforcement records are public; however, the identity of a complainant is exempt from disclosure under Oregon public records law (“information submitted in confidence”).
The City will only disclose a complainant’s identity if required by a valid court order or if the individual is a necessary witness in an enforcement case. Records that do not identify the complainant may be released.

Most violations are handled through voluntary compliance. Responsible parties are typically given a reasonable timeframe to correct the issue.
If compliance is not achieved, the City may take formal enforcement action.
