Fraud & Payment Warning

Scammers may use information from public permit, planning and application records to send fraudulent invoices and payment requests.

The City of Astoria does not request payment of permit or application fees by wire transfer, ACH transfer, cryptocurrency, gift card, or payment to an individual.

Official City email regarding your application will come from an @astoria.gov email address.

If you receive an unexpected invoice or payment request, do not make payment until you have independently verified it with the City using contact information published on this website.

A message containing your correct name, property address, project or application information does not mean it came from the City.
