CampingSitesFinal 2.0

Camping: Place (Adopted 11/07/2022)
On November 7, 2022, the City Council adopted ordinance 22-14; an ordinance amending camping regulations relating to "place" under the City Code. You may view a list of the available camping sites here.

Camping: Time and Manner (Adopted 06/20/2022)
On June 20, 2022, the City Council adopted ordinance 22-10; including modifications to the “Time” and the “Manner” under the City Code.

Community Forum (03/23/2022)

The City Council has had a number of meetings to address the topic of livability in Astoria:

Abandoned Cart Ordinance - Continued (03/21/2022)
City Council heard the first reading of the Abandoned Cart Ordinance on March 7, 2022. A continuation was held March 21, 2022.

Work Session (03/16/2022)
City Council held a work session on March 16, 2022. Discussion on elements of an unlawful camping ordinance and continued conversation on derelict vehicles. Reviewed the Corvallis Sleeping Area Guide regarding camping provisions in response to the Martin v. Boise case law, as well as potential camping sites in Astoria.  


Abandoned Cart Ordinance - First Hearing (03/21/2022)
City Council heard the first reading of the Abandoned Cart Ordinance on March 7, 2022. A continuation was held March 21, 2022. You may watch the video here.

Work Session (02/16/2022)
